Husband, Father, Comedian and Proud to be Black
At 17 years old Leon walked home from work one night and two men stopped him and because he didn’t have any money they shot him. Police assumed he did something wrong and was involved with shooting when he wasn’t. For 14 years Leon has been wheelchair bound. He met his wife Tierra, who is very supportive, at church. They have a daughter Noel. Leon cares for his daughter from his wheelchair. Leon is a member of Philadelphia’s Gun Violence Support Group.
Tierra and Leon created a channel on YouTube for Disabled Partners showing them how it works.
Leon recommends Therapy saying it is helpful. Talking makes a difference.
