After coming home from church September 14, 2014, India Williams drove her bike in her Detroit neighborhood like so many young girls. Two men argued about a dice game and used guns to settle it. India got caught in the cross fire and now gets around in a wheelchair paralyzed from the waist down.
Her mother Clinqute Lamar spoke with reporter, “Every time I talk about it, it hurts.” She hates India can’t walk or run like other children. India survived four surgeries and does Physical Therapy every day. India is told she can’t walk ever again but she doesn’t believe them.

We can do so much better than this. A 7 year old girl stuck in a wheelchair maybe for the rest of her life!
This happened over 8 years ago. My question now is–Was the shooter ever charged? Would Restorative Justice work? What is happening with India today?
